At the beginning… :)

We were strangers starting out on our journey
Never dreaming what we’d have to go through
Now here we are and I’m suddenly standing
At the beginning with you

No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected what you did to my heart
When I lost hope you were there to remind me
This is the start

And Life is a road and I want to keep going
Love is a river I want to keep flowing
Life is a road now and forever
A Wonderful journey

I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you

We were strangers on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you

I knew there was somebody somewhere
Like me alone in the dark
I know that my dream will live on
I’ve been waiting so long
Nothing’s gonna tear us apart

In the end I wanna be standing at the beginning with YOU

In Every Life
by Garnett Ann Schultz

In every life, however sweet,
God lends a little rain,
And every soul however good
Must know a little pain,
Today a cloud might dim your sky,
But dark though it might seem;
I’m sure that not too far away
You’ll see the sunlight’s gleam.

Lihim.

Cassie

Have you heard of the song “Cassie” by Flyleaf? Here’s how it goes…

I will say “Yes!”

The question asked in order
To save her life or take it
The answer “no” to avoid death
The answer “yes” would make it
Make it

“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
Say “Yes!” to pull the trigger
“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
And Cassie pulled the trigger

All heads are bowed in silence
To remember her last sentence
She answered him knowing what would happen
Her last words still hanging in the air
In the air

“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
Say “Yes!” to pull the trigger
“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
And Rachel pulled the trigger

Say “Yes!” to pull the trigger

How many will die
I will die
I, I will say “Yes!”

And Cassie pulled the trigger

“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
And Rachel pulled the trigger

“Do you believe in God?”
Written on the bullet
And I will pull the trigger

The first time I heard this, I didn’t understand anything.

When I heard the phrase, “Do you believe in God?” I thought that Flyleaf was anti-Christ, or something to that effect.

On the contrary, Flyleaf is actually a Christian band. And the song was about the Columbine High School massacre.

The massacre occurred on April 20, 1999 at Columbine High School in Colorado. Two students, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, embarked on a shooting rampage, killing 12 students and a teacher, as well as wounding 23 others, before committing suicide.

Now, Cassie Bernall and Rachel Scott are just 2 of the girls that were shot on that day. What’s their story?

They were both asked “Do you believe in God?”

And when they answered “Yes”, they were shot.

After the incident, they were both regarded as Christian martyrs as many.

Now, if you were in that situation, what would you answer when asked “Do you believe in God?”

Think.

I know I will say “Yes!”… and pull the trigger.

Anthea is on "Us Girls" (June 30, 2008)

Watch out for Anthea and Your Shirts on Us Girls this July 13!!! πŸ˜€ Weee… It’s showing on Studio 23 at 8:30 pm. ^___^

The shooting was held at La Vista… It’s in Katipunan, QC.

It was quite an experience. First time I went to Katipunan on my own… and nag-commute pa ko ha. πŸ˜› Papunta dun from UP Manila took me 2 hours. Pauwi to Paranaque, almost 4 hours! Waaah… Kasi nagstop-over pa ko sa malls para kumain at maggrocery. ^__^

Basta, it was my first ever time to be in front of a studio camera… πŸ˜› Iba naman kasi yung sa mga VTRs diba? πŸ˜› Masaya talaga sya!

Kim Gorospe, brand manager of Your Shirts, was also part of the interview. Actually, sa kanya galing mga pics coz I have no digicam. πŸ˜› (Thanks, Kim!)

Oh diba, ang pretty ni Chesca! πŸ˜€

P.S. To view the shirts I’m selling, visit Anthea, my online store. Thanks!
