Internship + New Contacts

First of all, I feel sad. I applied for manufacturing internship for the 1st batch of the internship program of Pacific Healthcare Phils, Inc. last month. However, I received an email just today telling me that they already selected 2 interns. Good thing is, they’ll be considering me for the 2nd batch of the internship program which is from November to December. πŸ™‚ I hope I’ll be considered coz I want to finish my manufacturing pharmacy internship before the summer vacation next year. πŸ˜€

So that leaves me relatively free this coming sembreak. I’ll do other things instead. Hehe. Sayang kasi, Pacific Healthcare Phils, Inc. wanted interns ASAP eh. I told them I’ll be starting on the 20th pa. Kasi naman, may finals pa kasi. Oh well, I hope I’ll be considered talaga for the 2nd batch. I soooo want to complete this internship program na kasi.

Neway, I got exempted pala from taking the finals in Ph Ch 106.1. Praise God! So I have to take 2 final exams this semester. One is for Ph Ch 27 Lec (October 15, 2-4pm) and the other is for Ph Ch 106 (October 17, 12-2pm).

Please pray for all of us who will be taking the final exams. πŸ˜€ Super haba kasi ng coverage… sana matapos namin aralin. At sana sipagin kaming aralin. Hehehe.

Btw, I went out today. πŸ˜€

My agenda really was to just submit my DTR to Mercury Drug Corporation (Paranaque-Multinational Branch) where I had my community internship last summer. (I know, uber late ng pagpass!) I was very glad to see all of them again. They’re such friendly people. And though the PAs told me that I got healthier (in my understanding, that means I’m super fat), the manager managed to make me smile by telling me that I’m getting prettier! πŸ˜€ Hehe. A simple compliment from someone who had been like my mother during the summer was very heartwarming. πŸ˜€

After that, I went to SM Sucat. I bought chocolates for my mom, and I went around looking for cheap contacts. πŸ˜€ My old glasses doesn’t suit my needs anymore… and I’ve been having visual acuity problems. So I went to Ideal Vision and asked regarding their contact lens. Clear contacts costs PhP 398 with FREE cleaning solution and FREE consultation. πŸ™‚ I went to Executive Optical and they gave me a price which is close to 600. And that’s exclusive of contact lens cleaning solution. Obviously, the best choice was to buy one from Ideal Vision. I actually bought my glasses there too last year. πŸ™‚

So… lumabo na nga talaga ang mata ko. Boo!

Here’s my Optical Rx:
L: -3.50
R: -3.00-75×170

Before, it was:
L & R: -2.50

Waah. 😦

Oh well… At least I now have almost perfect vision, with contact lens of course. Since Dr. Luz is such a good lady, who treats me like her daughter, she gave me big discounts since I already upgraded my lens! πŸ˜€ Thanks Doc!

Today is very happy day.

Now, I’m going to study. Wish me well! πŸ˜€

Optical Rx means optical prescription… dun nakalagay yung grado ng mata as measured. :)a "-" sign before the number means short-sighted (near-sighted)a "+"sign indicates a person's long-sighted (far-sighted)the numbers indicate the grado. Like 3.00 means 300 yung grade ng salamin na kailangan mo.. :)Then, the 2nd set of numbers indicate astigmatism… and the other means the angle (in degrees) of astigmatism. πŸ™‚
